They're still accepting applications and haven't conducted interviews yet, but I'm willing to bet money these guys won't get in. The YC partners understand one of the most important things in a founding team is an ability to work together, so they always ask how they know each other.
Are you assuming that this application / applicant failed to make it?
Does anyone know who this is and if they 'squeaked through' ?
