According to cron's man page on Debian the "fix" that makes cron work on DST is "Debian specific". What happens on other distributions?

Fedora uses cronie as crond, which does something similar: https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/cronie.git/tree/man/cron.8...


You could the server timezone to UTC to avoid those problems.
