I'd be curious to see how CoreOS might help simplify some of the issues you mention. I'm starting to dig deep into both and the learning curve is definitely a bit high.
Yeah, it's nice to see projects like CoreOS tackling the issues of using Docker in production. Hoping to see the complexities continue to be reduced as Docker (and its ecosystem) matures.
I think CoreOS + Fleet directly address many of the gaps identified in this article. It's not the only way to do it, but it does seem like a particularly good way.
