You could also replace "Google" with any company, college, or incubator with a reputation for being difficult and you have the dilemma that plagues the current workforce. No one can determine who is "qualified", and no one is willing to train people to be "qualified".
it's a good place to source A talent from, but as with any big organization they have people who are good & bad, smart & dumb. Interviewing and identifying A talent vs B talent is a different skill set, but a needed one in order to build a successful company.
