way I see it, people voting GOP these days ain't inside that venn diagram. They need to read some Thomas Paine and remember why the USA was created in the way it was.
Allowing people to just get hauled off the street and locked up without charges or legal access isn't American. Or at least, its the polar opposite of what I understood America to be.
That’s maybe a baseless assumption on your part. I’ve seen polls indicating that most Americans support legal immigration. I support legal immigration, and asylum seekers finding refuge as well. But I understand if a country doesn’t want to take in more than it wants, that’s national sovereignty.
