the US has been fairly fucked for a while but the endemic corruption and the deconstruction of the state under Trump is a huge step change, not “lol both sides”.

Weird how no one cared about the merger of Silicon Valley and the government pre-Trump. Pretty much every tech CEO had Obama on call, which was seen as a good thing by most here. And then there's what happened during the pandemic, which also was quite popular here on HN.
