My only issue with VC is a few of them will act like they're open to submissions when they really aren't.
Outside of a few small projects with friends I've never gotten meaningful feedback.
I did teach myself programming and I do love my career, but I'm not going to lie.
I'm a bit bitter I never at least got to a meeting with a VC. I was playing with machine learning back in 2018. I imagine had I stuck with it, and had the right encouragement I could be rich by now.
I haven't completely given up. Once I come across an idea worth while I'll get to work.
