Just curious if anyone has heard of Otto Hahn? Unsung genius of quantum research born on the losing side of multiple wars.

He's a very famous scientist as is his collaborator Lise Meitner. 'Unsung' might be a bit of a 'new to you', in this case.

I meant compared to the glory that the theoretical physicists get. I can't find any general public / mainstream work that even mention him as a crucial scientist in the development of the nuclear industry.

He comes up in any general audience book about the science of the period or the atomic bomb or who-deserved-what-Nobel-prize, etc. Here's a recent play, just on first google
