Providing more rides than Lyft doesn't mean much when you're losing money doing it.

Will they still "best" Lyft when/if they become profitable? It's hard to say at this point. They're still running on venture capital "funny money" and lots of it.

Reports I've read suggest that it costs Waymo $100K just to outfit one of it's autonomous vehicles.
