gear icon next to the clock in bottom left -> board view -> switch to "flat"

Chrome on Android doesn't have this setting.

Firefox on MacOS also doesn't seem to have it.

I can't find it on Chrome on MacOS, either..

EDIT: it shows up for me, once you actually start playing.
