Salesforce buying Informatica - could be a smart move to boost their cloud offerings. Curious to see how they integrate the two platforms.

It seems there is a lot of overlap in the Mulesoft and Tableau Prep data integration tools that Salesforce already owns.

I wonder if there is more overlap with the Salesforce data quality, data catalog (metadata) and data governance tools?

Maybe Informatica will finally add better retry logic for handling failures writing to Salesforce objects that are busy.
