I don't see how using a throwaway email was the giveaway that it was Chess.com sending those emails, the emails are clearly from Chess.com.

The comment I replied to made it sound as though they sold your data to a third party for marketing purposes or had a data breach.

You're right, I was unclear. Yes, it's all from them and it annoyed me they kept coming after I unsubscribed.
