If storytelling isn’t part of your interviewing process you are absolutely leaving value on the table. You would be wasting less time interviewing & get better outcomes if you improved your path to getting into the interview.

Ideally you have a conversation with the hiring manager before you even enter the formal hiring process and storytelling should absolutely be part of that conversation. The story is “why you want to hire me specifically.”
