Rarely does getting back together with an ex work out. You miss each other in the beginning thinking of only the good things, but very quickly you start to remember why you were exes to begin with.

That analogy doesn't make sense here since all the employees at OpenAI are extremely loyal to Sam. It's just the board that wanted him out.

And regardless of what happens here, everyone on the board is 100% getting fired.

Do you work there? How do you know that the employees are 'extremely loyal' to Sam?

Just like yesterday Sam 100% lied to the board and was on the outs. Today, it's 100% the board is getting fired and Sam is coming back on a white horse wearing shining armor.

Exactly my thoughts and the ex analogy; it would be extremely awkward for everybody as this event has tainted everyone's reputation at OpenAI. I'd think even MS may want to get out of the deal.
