Ask HN: Programmers and Technologists in Scotland

Over the last few years, I have appreciated reading about Scottish contributions to the world. Napier. Sir Walter Scott. John Muir. With that said, I haven't read about many technologists from Scotland, and have struggled to find a community thereof.

I was wondering if anyone in Scotland would be interested in a Hackers of NY-esque [1] short-form interview series to codify examples of Scottish programmers and technologists. I sure think having such a repository would be inspirational to young people; this same principle could be applied to other locations, too.

If you would be interested in reading or participating please share below!

I'd suggest joining the Scottish tech club discord and posting there https://www.scottishtechnology.club/

I hope he doesn't mind, but the creator of Rich and Textualize is a good guy, and Scottish: https://www.willmcgugan.com/about/

You can't mention Scotland without talking about James Clerk Maxwell, one of the greatest physicists of all time.

There are absolutely loads of us here in Scotland :)
