Historically this has been the case with technology, but also the rate of technological change has been a lot slower than the pace at which humans can learn new things. If it takes 2 years to train a human in something new and 2 months (or 2 days) to train an AI, that's a situation without historical precedent.


Sure but I think our use cases and expectations will change too. We won’t just pause and keep making the same things. We’ll be able to build more novel things with AI as a helper and accelerator. I think the 80/20 law will remain unbroken in that AI will get us 80% of the way there but we’ll have 20% that’s completely novel.
