I didn't realize it until I was older but my dad essentially modeled his entire personality off Hawkeye Pierce when he was in college and then all manner of sitcom dads once he was older. this is not uncommon at all. humans model roles based upon the roles they see modeled. film & television (& now tiktok et al.) give people an unrealistic view into a fake world that our minds are not fully evolutionarily equipped to grapple with.
