Although there are plenty of examples of great physicists with very early output, most typically continue to contribute substantially. Even Einstein's major breakthroughs in general relativity didn't come until his late 30s. Modern theoretical physicists like Ed Witten often didn't get started until ~25 and most of their contributions come much later.
