It really sucks that we can't go back in time to the days chat apps looked like AIM, ICQ, etc... The current model of making giant React based Electron apps for a chat app is idiotic IMO. Maybe that's the price we pay for corporatizing chat?

I liked breaking my chats out into different tiny windows I could see everything happening at once.
