In eastern europe interviews are mostly experience-related.

Questions are mostly about technologies that hiring team needs, the more the better, and the deeper the better. I never had a problem getting the extra experience not found on previous workplace from my pet projects and blogs before moving to US.

Funnily, I've seen people who moved back from SF Bay Area, and struggled to find a job there, despite being very good at whiteboard and CS problems. Turned out eastern european companies don't care about CS problems really.
