Debate as to how accurate these rankings are, aside; one thing I find really irritating about the Redmonk listing is that it only gives the rankings at the top of the report and then, after that in the detailed breakdown, everything is referred to in relative terms; "language xx moved up 3 places", "language yyy leapt into the top 20" without giving the actual positions again. So, unless you can memorise the complete rankings table, you have to constantly scroll up to the rankings and then back down again to the detailed info, to see exactly WHERE the language being discussed ended up.
