Minimising the CSS/HTML would be one extra improvement, and removing HTML comments.


No need for that, gzip will do that for you.


Does gzip remove comments?


No. But if there aren't many, they aren't long, and are all human readable (like in this article), the penalty after gzip is negligible.


I thought the goal was fastest blog in the world ;)


It does seem silly to inline all the external resources but not remove the comments.
