I have been forcing myself to use DuckDuckGo for the last two weeks but still keep going to Google as I am getting quicker results there.

I want to know is it just because I am more familiar with Google or does DuckDuckGo still have a long way to go before being an alternative to Google?

Is there any other search engine out there to rival Google?

I just use bing for my daily wallpapers, that too I have a script that will get the daily updates for me. Just did not like it one bit. No reason in specific.
