Holy shit. This is one of the 2 bugs in my career I never solved. (That I knew about, and lost sleep over, etc…)

Anyone remember the Benzites from Star Trek TNG? I guess we know what that gas they breathe in is for...

I know that this is a joke, but the gas they breath is supposed to be chlorine, moisture, and mineral salts to replicate their home world's atmosphere.

I was lucky enough to see JF demo this, really cool work.

<smile>

I've had this twice. Once to a car accident on the motorway in 2002. Once to a bizarre form of leukaemia such that (from our perspective) the guy had back pain on Thursday, and died over the Easter weekend by Tuesday in 2009.

Still think of them both from time to time. Some of my now-ex colleagues still comment on the anniversary of their passing on Facebook. I don't think I could honestly remember the dates if they didn't... Their names always stick with me though.

Perfectly true - it was more a point about how many drawings there are for this comic given the total number of comics he has done. So I guess I'm commenting on the amount of work he had to do. If you think about the massive 'pan and zoom' comic year or so ago, that was a similarly vast undertaking. I thought it was a catchy headline, but you make a very good point.

I thought it was a catchy headline

It is a very catchy headline! I think that's what made me stop and consider why it was so catchy.

The next amazing Time news would be finding out if it's still being created or if it was made all up front. We have to watch for clues to see if it references any current events (not created by Randy himself) that happened after the first Time frame.

March 25!

Yes - after a couple of days it slowed down and now updates once per hour.

Animated version here: http://xkcd.aubronwood.com/

I appreciate that by posting it here, it has almost no chance of standing up to the traffic... But it was too cool not to share.

It did work for me, one page at a time. Which makes sense because I don't think this server can do multithreading.
