I became aware of the evil and set reminders in order to spend one hour every Saturday to google-detox. I think I will be completely degoogled in a couple of weeks.

I just couldn't resist: https://i.imgflip.com/4kyf7g.jpg

Hey thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to checking it out! Yes, I am working to improve the UI, I spent most of the time working on the back end, on the actual scripts. There lies my strength, I guess. I am not a very good graphics or web designer, and I plan to work with a UI person in the future. Stay tuned, I will make this app work also for English speaking cities!

> Many people would not consider anything that's made by a "DJ" to be music

Deaf people?

Those would count themselves lucky /s

Arguing musical taste is rather pointless anyway.

Specially when your bedroom light fail because of bad wifi or when your roomba's AI doesn't recognize your cute dog's poop.

I am laughing at this. He is describing it as if it were a steampunk device.

> This is like rearranging someone's kitchen for them "because it's more efficient"

This randomly reminded me of the time I let my friend use my laptop, only to find out the next morning that he had changed all the colors and styles of my windows xp with a gimmicky "mac skin". So infuriating.

Wow, Flickr is still around

It was very entertaining to follow r/sysadmin's threads about this weird issue, until the guy found out the source of the problem.

Interesting, I can have an LSP try this. So, if it's not OCR, what is it? What is it doing?

It does OCR ofcourse. Pipeline is roughly:

OCR -> Text property identification -> Inpainting -> Region averaging -> Translation -> Fitting

Please have the LSP try it out and see if offers some value.
