The "merged" company wouldn't be able to legally operate in UK. Microsoft/Activision still have the option to merge but withdraw from UK

Would there be significant disadvantages in using both platforms at the same time? Or does "pivoted to FB" also imply that the content was adjusted to FB audience?

Using, no, but at some point there will have been meetings about where to use the marketing budget.

"We can buy Facebook likes, or YouTube subscribers."

"Engagement's so much better on Facebook, let's buy likes."

Facebook's incorrect (dramatically so - as high as 900% inflated) stats made buying a like look way more cost effective, so that's where the budgets went.

I think "pivoted to FB" means "Instead of putting the videos on our site and posting links to our site on FB, we posted native videos on FB"

Perhaps, but I believe that not being able to install one or two crucial apps (e.g. banking) would be a deal-breaker for a good portion of those people.

He may be interested in devices which can connect to a phone via bluetooth and to amps via standard audio cables. They basically turn any old amp/speakers setup into a wireless streaming one, and they work quite well.

https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=38068

I use something exactly like this product (an old one from monoprice actually I believe). Simply plugs into the back of a 2.1 speaker set I have. Guests at my place love it, they can easily just connect to the Bluetooth and play through speakers. Pretty seamless. Not sure of any quality drop, my speakers aren't the best.

Right, I use a TT-BA08 to plug my cheap cable headphones in (since most new Smarthones ditched the 3.5mm), which connects to another one which is only a sender (and has no volume controls). That sender receives a line-out of a little analog mixer into which a PC and other devices plug in.

This is quite nice, because it allows me to stand up and walk around while the PC continues its audio playback.

Thanks for the tip! I knew these already so I did propose it to him back then, but it seems he was fine with just a cable.

Let’s see how the future of smartphones pans out, when it comes to audio jacks tho : )

He maybe like me and doesn't like the quality drop of bluetooth depending on the rest of the setup obviously.

If the setup can support aptX, quality should be reasonable.

The expressed negativity is not directed towards hardware development process, rather towards what ended up being insincere promises the team gave about the state of the product that would be shipping in Q3 2019.

Oh I understand that. I was just trying to communicate that: their latest promise was to start shipping final hardware to people Q3 2019 and Bach Aspen is exactly that.

I actually give them kudos for allowing people to choose what batch they receive. I specifically did not pre-order because I don't want an early batch of hardware of any product. Had I know I would get a choice I would have pre-ordered.

You still can.

OEM specific I believe. Newer Samsung devices have it as part of the Camera app. Previously, it was an option of Samsung Internet browser.

This cannot be entirely correct as I use Chrome and Firefox with as close as possible configuration, with uBlock Origin with exact same settings, and the behaviour I've encountered is very similar to the one shown here. I'm logged in to my google account in both browsers as well.

Thank you. Would you mind publishing it on F-Droid?

I can, though I’d prefer to find a champion who can help support an f-droid version; at the moment I have difficulty supporting the google play Android version since I don’t have an Android :(

+1 to this. I'd also be overjoyed if the app could be locked with a password/fingerprint.
