Thanks for the reply. The text was AI-structured around the core concept Ikuna is trying to solve: Context switching and helping with Deep Work.

Is Context Switching something important for you as well, or was it just curiosity?

If you want to check Ikuna and give some feedback on the website or app https://www.brnsft.com/ikuna

I would love to see autonomy as a solution but I've seen friends dig themselves deeper and deeper because of said freedom to do as much as they want.

According to Border theory and self-regulation theory people are: Border Enforcers(Have strict boundaries between live and work), Border Adapters(Can adapt if a border is crossed ex an emergency), or Border Expanders (It's hard for them to delimit where one border ends and another starts)

I see how Maximising autonomy could work for Border enforcers but it can cause real damage to Border Expanders.

Man it really is relaxing to do something with your hands instead of sitting at the computer.

The reward you get from being able to touch what you are working on is really nice.

Cooking can be relaxing as well - unless you have kids crying that they are hungry - then it becomes quite stressful.

Do you have any specific wood working projects?

Tranquility.

Morning routine or when do you make time for it?

I suck at routines – so it’s currently sporadic :)

But I have considered to take a 10 min break around 2pm in order to meditate.

As a student I used to dislike riding on the train every other weekend to go home. wished there would be a faster way to travel.

I now miss watching out the window.

That sounds lovely. I should call my parents.

Being a new parent, I realized this is one thing I have failed at in my 20s with my parents. Should have definitely called them more often, even if it's just for a few minutes here and there.

I'm a new parent as well - it really made me understand and relate to my parents better.

Calling them every week at least once to see the nephew (we live in a different country ) - but I'll try to do the 1 minute a day I commented earlier.

It sounds like you don't have this chance anymore. . sorry for your loss.

Do it, and do it often. They are lonely.

Just heard this and really liked: "1 minute a day is worth more than 1-2hours on a Saturday"

Meaning giving 1 minute a day to your parents / love ones to let them know you are good - healthy - that you love and appreciate them..daily is worth more than trying to compensate on a Saturday.

Any reason why grappling trainings are relaxing?

When you are thrown or being choked you are unable to focus on anything else than the moment itself. Its extremely liberating and picking both of those activities were detromental for my health

Flow. You can't overthink grappling, or you'll sabotage yourself. You have to let your mind flow like a river.

Never tried it. Very interesting.

Flow is quite addicting.

I agree with the others that Flow is part of why grappling is relaxing.

But, the another reason is that it's an amazing stress reliever. After a good grappling session, you will feel incredibly relaxed and calm.

You seem very balanced :D
