My parents house (in the EU) was covered in plates of asbestos. As far as I know it only is dangerous when you install / remove it as these plates break and release chemicals to the air. I’m no expert though.

I believe the interaction with asbestos is material, not chemical. It breaks into tiny shards that are light enough to breathe, and sharp enough to cut up your lungs.

Which is why a single exposure will damage your lungs, but it takes lots of cycles of damage and repair to chance into getting cancer.

As older Firefox versions are still in use, too, it’s possible to check whether the improvements come from updates in Firefox itself or the web in general.

>the web in general

That would certainly be overly optimistic.

The data will be biased though. Few people will buy new hardware and install old firefox versions.

I can recommend Kirby (https://getkirby.com/), a flat file PHP CMS. It’s fast, has a panel to update data and can be hosted on any basically any PHP host. Just use the quite simple PHP-templates and add CSS & JS like you already know how to do. No need to complicate things.

With Feedbin (which I use, guess others work similar), pasting the website URL is enough. It’ll scan for feeds and that’s it.

I never looked in the source code, but had the same feeling about the founders back then.

Same for me. :D

I’m sure there are. Just ask around at organizations that look interesting to you.

In my city there was a ferry for NGOs some time ago so anyone could find an engagement they enjoy.

I also recommend Fastmail. No complaints. UI is great.

Not yet.

After login you see your collection of animated gifs and can add new ones via URL. Also there is a "detail view" of the gifs. Simple.

You must be new around here.
