US government is a farce. How can they have a system that completely halts every now and then just because the ones in charge can’t agree?
If this is such a big issue, and it’s repeating: plan ahead.
Anyone else open for internet v2?
Like a completely new system, with everything that we enjoyed with the first one around the millenia: buggy webpages, slow downloads, crappy browsers, having to download plugins…
The issue is that the letter that pops may be replaced, if it later changes its mind. Eg if you hit U, get a U popup, and sofly release while moving into the target area for J.
You get a J.
For me it’s dealbreaker that it’s available via homebrew.
Not a stance or anything, but when I get a new Mac I use homebrew bundle
If it’s not in my brewfile from old Mac, theres a high probability I won’t get it installed.
This is actually really cool. I use Homebrew all the time, but didn't know GUI paid apps were a thing. Wow. THANK YOU! Coming to brew line near you soon :)
I have been a champion of Apple's MacOS Migration Assistant workflow for well over a decade. My system is stable enough that I won't consider a "clean" start with a new machine. I've had to reinstall for disaster recovery outside of that.
But I also love Homebrew and I'm glad that will become an option going forward. I have a Launchd job update and run maintenance on all brew tools every night.
If you have something to say, say it. People don’t have the time to go investigate, but maybe you have something interesting to claim with a source.
For all I know you found a way to tie some software to a politician you want me to hate, or the guy that wrote it donated to $50 to a cause you don’t like, or they murdered beagle puppies in some horrendous way. Just spit it out.
Yeah. This is like clickbait titles. They hate something something for something something reason and won't tell cos it's probably something small.
They leave the comment making it look like the person made something huge. Only to find out that they didn't use the coaster while drinking his chilled beer.
And I don't care about this instance, I am not going to look it up. I have far more negative vibes about the OP in question than Lightshot.
Very bad dark pattern I've been seeing more and more these days.
Lightshot is a cloud-first screenshot tool. This means you shouldn't screenshot sensitive information. That's all I could find.
Considering that there are many tools like ShareX where uploading the screenshot is a feature, I don't really see reboot81's poor attempt at "spreading awareness" as genuine.
