Point 1, 2 and 3 all apply to miners as well and yet they never delivered on their promise.

The normal miners never said that. They just say this at conferences for simple greenwashing.

The normal miner doesn't go to those bitcoin conferences, they buy asics, put them in some warehouses around the world and make money.

That is an argument for libyears, not against it. If they only updated the docs, why didn't you upgrade already? If anything, projects using stable libraries like this could very easily reach 0 libyears, because there are no breaking changes when upgrading.

It's for and against at the same time. Depends on your software upgrade roadmap. I think that's just a silly number, that us correct and incorrect at the same time, but probably good enough on a large scale, just like story points.

Might just call that part by its proper name, emigration.

As they are still active on Reddit... are they still playing? If so, I really doubt there was peace or even a victory.

[Another] user finally ended the game with victory in 2019, seven years since the submitted post: https://www.reddit.com/r/theeternalwar/comments/aefvp0/the_a...

Edit: Sorry, I was wrong earlier. The post linked above was written by a different user (u/TEFL_job_seeker), using the same save file as the original poster (u/Lycerius). The original user implied they stopped playing the game, since several solutions to victory was already found and shared on Reddit, mainly in a comment at [0], also implied at [1].

I mistakenly thought it was the same user due to an assertion in a discussion about it (https://www.reddit.com/r/theeternalwar/comments/c41bpx/did_t...), but found that the users were different on a closer look.

Considering how badly Salesforce handled communication and bug fixing of log4shell in Tableau that's not really surprising.

No problem here: If anyone truly cares about Wikimedia they can just convert crypto to fiat and donate this instead.

Considering apnoe and in general bad sleep is really bad for your heart, yes.

It's in the article: The author found information about the presumed attacker on a site where parents write about their gifted (= highly talented) children.

Thanks! I couldn’t handle the tension and jumped to the end of the article to see how it unfolded.

> Katainen didn’t like the value proposition considering used 2013 Model S vehicles go for about 35,000 euros in Finland and he didn’t have access to a third-party shop to fix the pack.

It's literally in the article that that wasn't an option.

2. Yes but ~1990 is not a good baseline as back then lots of highly inefficient industry and power plants of former GDR were still running and on the brink of being demolished due to economic collapse. It makes Germanys efforts look much better than they were.
