The guillotine will be the alternative if we don't figure out how society is going to function and distribute resources when there is minimal demand for human labor.
Which ICE performance car? I went from an SRT8 back in 2012 to a Tesla Model 3 performance + mods and now most recently went back to ICE via an AMG GT63. I can confidently say that the GT63 is leagues more fun than the Tesla ever was. Sure the Tesla was quick off the line, but outside of that it felt sterile and the ride was quite uninspired.
Model 3's didn't exist in 2012. Did you mean something else? I've driven an M3P for 5 years, and I wouldn't call it sterile.
I haven't been cross shopping it with vehicles that cost 3x as much and get only 15% of the mileage, so maybe I'm missing something? But weighing 10% more and taking 20% longer to reach 60 doesn't seem particularly compelling.
If it's the only car you've driven for five years of course it doesn't feel sterile, it's a wonderful car, and nothing against it, but it is not a fun car / "enthusiast" car insofar as enthusiast refers to the thin slice of all automotive enthusiasts that are primarily interested in handling that is dynamic and communicative
Your colleagues should consider skipping conda and stick to using venv. It will make life much easier. Given pandas/numpy is huge in data science, moving away is not much of an option unless you are working on a personal project or already have a dedicated team comfortable with using a different stack. There is also the Docker option which is great but much more involved.
You can just refinance out of it (when the numbers are right), and it’s often easy since you now have equity, a proven payment history, and are presumably looking at even lower payments on the new loan.
Hey now, Colorado has started accepting Crypto payments recently. Per the CO Dept of Revenue - "Starting September 1, 2022, the Colorado Department of Revenue (DOR) will now accept Cryptocurrency as an additional form of payment for all state taxpayers. This includes individual income tax, business income tax, sales and use tax, withholding tax, severance tax and excise fuel tax."
The state is not actually accepting cryptocurrency tax payments. Tax liabilities are still denominated in dollars. All that they have done is partner with a third party payment processor which will sell you dollars for cryptocurrency at the current market price (minus fees), and then forward those dollars to the tax authorities.
