>- Immediately stopped having insomnia. Better feel overall;
It's interesting you mention that. When I took up cycling to work in Manchester, I started struggling to fall fully asleep because I'd have short pseudo-dreams about the POV of cycling on wet, dark, busy roads & jerk awake, scared that I was falling asleep at the handlebars.
It goes away after some time. It's almost as if you unlock a lot of stored energy just by moving. After a while the extra energy is gone and you will sleep right away.
Destroying value and market price are unrelated concepts.
The eternal cognitohazard of discussing crypto online is that you are dealing with deeply invested people without any guarantee that they understand finance in general.
>we haven’t had to increase the capacity of our electric grid in decades
Who's we? In China, generation has doubled in a decade. What a sad time to be alive if even existential failure isn't a strong enough motivator to get a developed country to pay for some infrastructure.
>They could have cherry picked other sample posts to demonstrate the exact opposite.
They couldn't, because it's 'the algorithm' that does the picking & Facebook's algorithm optimises for inauthentic or boomer. Cherry-picking posts isn't a standard usecase.
The word 'racist' didn't appear until your post. It's a shame we can't discuss obvious language bias without you becoming defensive about imagined sleights.
Favoring a Western lens or English language sources is racist, whether the word was used or not, insofar as it favors white people and the people white people care about. You might disagree with that definition, but it's not like the commenter above is the first person to use it that way.
IMHO the golden years for making friends are the school years, peaking in High School and College. After that it's a desert compared to that oasis.
That said there's a cheat I've heard of for the terminally lonely extravert: Clubs and Volunteering. I haven't tried either myself as I'm an introvert and near hermit happy with my three super-extravert friends that only need to hear from me a couple times a year.
Then there's the ultimate cheat, get married and have kids. Totally worth it, IMHO.
