I mean no disrespect by this but when I saw the headline on HN I immediately thought it was about Scott Adams the text adventure guy. And then I started watching the video and was a bit confused at first before it all clicked.

Here's how AI coding has helped me : to beat procrastination.

Often while trying to fall asleep, I'll be thinking something like "I need my app to do such and such".

The next day, instead of forcing myself to start coding, I can literally say to Intelij Junie (using Claude), exactly that: "I need my app to do such and such". I'm often pleasantly surprised by the outcome. And if there's anything that needs to be tweaked, I'm now in the mode of critiquing and editing.

The Swallows and Amazons series is wonderful! Highly recommended.

I adored the BBC TV adaption in 1984. The theme still lives rent free in my head all these years later.

Watch hours are literally how long someone watches. So if you watch a 2 hour video at 2x, it counts as 1 hour.

Fun!

Thanks glad you enjoyed it!

Oh nice subscribed!

Thanks!

Fair warning to any others: It's mostly fantasy and sci-fi with the occasional tech book thrown in

I'm probably in a minority here. When I read Skyfall-GS, I immediately thought it was some new Apple IIGS game!

Ven vill you vear vigs?

My 2021 16" M1 Max is at 85% battery - which is still totally fine for me.

About to start converting this 22 year old Java Swing desktop app to a web app : http://www.auctionsieve.com/

(It's a frontend to make searching eBay actually pleasant)

I should also point out - if you download the current version, you should immediately apply the update that will pop up. And even then, you're results may be flakey.
