One of the books I first tried to learn from was _Miniature Projects for Electronic Hobbyists_ by one Ken W. Sessions. It was really a unijunction transistor project book. You know how some people will say you'll learn maybe not the best mental models for electronics from Forrest Mims' books? (I don't get it, they seem OK to me) Well, Forrest has nothing on Ken W. Sessions. The circuits worked, though.
A driver's license needs to be legible by foreigners when you travel abroad. The cops aren't going to bother looking up Kanji to figure out whether your license is valid, so the dates had better be printed in Gregorian.
As Japan's economy weakened, Abe and now Takaichi have promoted remilitarization. The big money in military hardware can sway any election.
The US is a obvious example. The best "democracy" that money can buy.
I doubt that. Takaichi has (IMHO needlessly) angered China and China is lashing out - because China is much bigger, the economic pain will be much greater for Japan.
It's theoretically possible that Takaichi had a plan and decided the economic pain was worth it, but generally you don't win elections by hurting economy.
What's that?
