I wouldn't say it has to be proprietary. Nevertheless, it's the information asymmetry that benefits the maintainer. One would have no incentive to publish there if their revenue stream can be easily cloned.

Using Firefox implies, to me, a willingness to customize the browser experience, which would probably heavily overlap with your target demographic. Since the extension manifest version update disabled some essential browser extensions, Chrome has become much less useful

How can you keep track of the current context limit if you are on Claude Pro or Max? I'm used to their desktop app for MCP use and there is no way to tell until the end-of-the-road popup shows up.

^ hckrnews.com replaced vanilla HN for me years ago: you never miss popular articles if you don't visit the site for a while, and you can change the filtering to include more results if you have more time to browse. It's been wonderful for my browsing habits.

still not too late to go with "haptik"

Exactly, thats what I had thought of originally - could still change it!

Spotify support forums (community) are a honeypot for complaints. Take a look at how long the 'top ideas' have been ignored to see for yourself.

Using the non-shuffling feature titled 'smart shuffle' is the most frustrated I have been using any software in my 30 years of life. If your connection speed is not on big US city level, accidentally toggling shuffle practically halts the application for minutes. Reference: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/Mobile-Other-Sma...

For credibility: there are 142,664 scrobbles saved on my last fm since 2013. I use the service a lot and wish I did not have to resort to modding tools like Spicetify for basic feature toggles. Way to ruin a wonderful product. If there was a 'Spotify but only the music you choose', I'd switch in an instant.

I use Tidal free-trials for few months every time my debit changes. I then rip the FLACs off to 2TB SD-cards with tidal-dl. Even the metadata is high-quality!

Is there a workaround to this within the realm of GitHub Pages? My initial search concludes: without GitHub allowing custom headers, no

I created my CV with React and Semantic UI since I was not satisfied with the amount of visual precision Word provides. The stack choice was due to personal ease of use, Semantic is probably an overkill.

Recently, I started turning it into a template and added some documentation. The next step is to feed the data (experience, education) through JSON so it's easier for others. It is automated to the point of generating a new preview GIF every time I push to master. I still manually hit CTRL+P to get the PDF though, it feels faster than implementing automation.

I'll hopefully do a Show HN in the future but until then, here is a demo on GitHub Pages: https://mrtysn.github.io/cv/
