Learning iOS development by building a the habit-tracking app I wished existed - habit tracking has been done to death, but I couldn't find anything that worked exactly the way I wanted, so I figured I'd build it. I've found Swift / SwiftUI alternately delightful and infuriating so far. Most of my experience has been with web tech, so it's exciting to build something that doesn't run in a browser.

> Funnily enough, it has been proved multiple times than every high-profile CEO is not better than a random decision algorithm.

Does anyone know of a source for this? I don't doubt it's true, but I'd love to see the evidence

But as we've seen time and again, those people are wrong. Giving people money helps, period. So either these people are simply ignoring facts, or they are not participating in good faith.

…or they disagree with you. Only in a bubble can complex facts seem so clear-cut.

I, for one, don’t agree that “we’ve seen time and time again” that cash handouts help.

You're welcome to disagree, but that doesn't change the facts.

I could say the same to you.

Political progress can be made only through meeting in the middle and negotiation, not by finger-pointing and accusing the opposition of being wrong. There's a reason millions of reasonable adults disagree with you (and who agree with you) - the truth is not clear-cut and complex and presents many seemingly contrary facts.

fully agree - I've been mulling this over a lot recently, actually. It seems like the writing is on the wall in a couple ways (recent layoffs being a big one)

I'm all on board for expanding the class consciousness in our profession, but I feel like "get a union" is much better advice than "stop writing documentation".

from TFA: "Oh, yeah, we should also have a union. Sure."

Whaaaaaat police departments breaking the law? Never!

I interviewed with you guys back in December; it was a great experience and I'm glad Mutiny is doing well!

Awesome! Glad you had a good experience and thanks for keeping an eye on us.

I just have a list of people that matter to me, and make sure to text or call each of them every couple weeks or so to see what's up. And I have their birthdays next to their names :)

like a Nintendo Switch, but for laptops/phones...I like this idea.

looks like too many people wanted to check it out - Plaid is returning a 429

Indeed!! Trying to get this sorted now.

We're back live now!
