I too have done this for almost years and it's magical. So easy to see who has been compromised. Also a great protection against phishing because "You need to update your Capital One password" that isn't addressed to "[email protected]" is an instant red flag.
I've been doing it for 20 years. Yes, or conversely, seeing "You need to update your Capital One password" being sent to my custom addresses for AAA, Telecom, Linkedin, etc.

Great job, I wish you the best! I'm sure you'll get lots of feedback about issues and will work to fix them. But overall the polish, simplicity, power, and uniqueness are an amazing start!
StrongDM does indeed look interesting. Can it be completely self-hosted? I am asking because some of the architecture docs mentioned "app.strongdm.com" as a necessary element, which has a webpage behind a (customer?) login. This is an external dependency that is not acceptable for my use case.
I haven't found a conclusive answer in their documentation yet.
