Canada has added 20 million acres,

India 22 million acres,

Russia 52 million acres - an area about the size of Kansas.

The US reforested significantly in the twentieth century as well, which helped keep some of the US cooler than it should have been relative to the climate change norm.

Texas is ~172 million acres

Thanks for the info.

Honest questions how much forest the US and UK added since they are probably the loudest in the issue of deforestration?

> Russia 52 million acres

Does that include the forests russia has burned down in Ukraine?

Please avoid generic tangents and flamebait on HN.

It's neither of those. If I plant a tree near my house, but cut down all of my neighbor trees, it would show that I have planted one tree while my neighbors none.

The comment was downvoted and flagged by several other community members so I don't seem to be out of step with community sentiment on this. I can accept that you sincerely felt it was an important thing to write, but all we can go on is what it looks like on the page, and what it looks like is trying to activate reactions in people with out-of-context controversy.

Several other community members also think that Ukraine is not a real country. But stuff like that seems to be the consensus here on HN.

There's no such "consensus", and everything I've seen in HN discussions about it indicates the HN community is generally supportive of the Ukraine cause. The community members downvoting and flagging your comment are ones who generally do so for reasons of comment quality and guidelines observance, not anything to do with their opinion on this or other topics.

Great day Borodin

We are brotherly feasts commemorating,

firmly: “Were the tribes,

Disaster threatening Russia;

Not all eh Europe there was?

Whose star led her!..

But we began to train hard pyatoyu

And chest took the pressure

tribes, obedient to the will of the proud,

And is was an unequal dispute.

And what? a disastrous escape,

kichas, they have forgotten now;

Lost Russian bayonet and snow,

Pogrebshy their glory in the desert.

Familiar feast beckons them again -

Chmielna for them Slavyanov blood;

But it will be hard for a hangover;

But guests will long dream

on close, cold Novosel,

Under the northern cereal fields!

It seems that computer translation is not good enough to parse Pushkin's poems yet. I tried ChatGPT, the translation is at least readable, but written in a dumbed down language. Yours is not even readable.

Why would would use ChatGPT or any other kind of automated translation for a poem of famous poet who's probably been already translated in several languages including English?

Neal is fun!

It's an Ukrainian name

I have a better game's idea: https://blocks.ovh

The sound is on by default.

I have just a shape tracing game

Also the web-based one, with nature (and fantasy) sounds: https://tabletopy.com

Reddit moderation is a crap

Can it make sone complex tasks ?

What would you define as "complex"?

This kind of architecture is very similar to what Physical Intelligence used for Pi-0.5 (a VLM triggering a VLA in different areas), albeit to a smaller size for now.

You can also see some example (autonomous!) use-cases here: https://docs.innate.bot/welcome/mars-example-use-cases
