I hope this doesn't come across as toxic/negative, because I sincerely mean it to be constructive criticism. I clicked the link and left almost immediately for 2 reasons:

1. For something like this, I'd expect to see a demo video, preferably created by the tool, on the landing page.

2. Keeping #1 in mind, asking for my phone number sends up red flags, and I'm out.

He's a less reliable source of information than ChatGPT was in 2023.

What happened to this?

Thank you! I'm working on a SAAS app for a niche industry and I keep putting things off because I'm a perfectionist, but I need to just launch the damn thing and perfect it later!

Haha yes! I've built so many things that no one needs because I felt they weren't quite perfect enough to get feedback.

I wrote a blog post (http://blog.jonathancai.com/premature-optimization/) about this too :)

Amazon isn't the only company using USPS this way. It might be worthy of investigation, but Trump's motive here is to get back at Bezos for things that The Washington Post publishes. The president using the power of the executive branch to fight personal political enemies is never the right thing to do.

Equally ironic: kowtowing to the wealthy has been the republican rhetoric for as long as I can remember.

There's no question that Trump's motive here is to get back at Bezos for things that The Washington Post publishes. You're arguing in favor of a president using the power of the executive branch to punish a political foe. Do you really think that this is ok? Does the fact that Democrats are usually the ones complaining about the wealthy make you feel better about this?

Please quote where I was arguing anything. I was just making an observation.

Your observation about Republicans is just as valid.

Check your outrage, it’s affecting your perception.

It might be more expensive with this apples-to-apples comparison, but do you have any idea what the actual utilization of your linode server looks like? Unless that server is under heavy load most of the time, you would probably be much better off with a couple of smaller instances behind a load balancer. Add in auto-scaling to handle peak loads. This may still be more expensive, but now your website is much more reliable than running on a single server.

One other thing to consider: You can host static websites on S3.

I've considered a cluster of servers before, but the server is actually under heavy load most of the time. It's running a LEMP stack and the database is fairly big.

Keep at it! All of that goes away and you'll have energy and clarity like you wouldn't believe.

With gmail you can use periods in the email address and gmail will ignore them. i.e. [email protected] is the same as [email protected] or even [email protected].

I did that for a bit, but there's only so many variations and remembering which email belongs to which service is not nearly as straight forward.
