Most of the startup mvps and SMB softwares can easily be developed without any fancy tech, but developers will do it any way.
I remember a mid sized saas app of one client, built completely on plain vanilla php,css, javascript(jquery was used) and mysql database.
It was handling millions of request from thousands of paying clients without a hitch.
Only fancy thing he did was an automatic backup system using custom script using replicated database.
It just works.
Short selling is not immoral but the planned manipulation of market with mass shorting perticular stock is.
It can be tackled by imposing the maximum cap of 3-4 percent of a company value by single trader. So at least 20-30 traders are required to do such mass manipulation.

1) Unfortunately, I will not focus on low-spec machines. The future is high end, and my app will cost money. It's very likely people with low-spec machines won't pay for my app anyway. The main reason for this, however, is that low-spec machines would require me to do optimizations that will don't really matter for decent machines (read: a lot of work, with no ROI).
The least I need is 8GB of RAM with 1 GB of video RAM, even though I recommend 16GB of RAM + 2GB of video RAM

Do not worry too much, for now you do not even need gst registration.
Taxation is mostly based on your and your customer's location. If you are in India and customer is outside of india, you are exporting service you dont need to pay Gst, its exempt. If customer is in India and your yearly turnover is less thN 20Lac you still do not need Gst. Its complicated. Just build your Saas and get bootsteaped to 10L revenue, then visit any tax consultant.
In case of starting a company in USA use stripe atlas with virtual address, and get an agency who files taxes for you, consoder total yearly cost to $15k.
