Aging, schmaging... 50 is a whippersnapper! I have had a long career in IT, starting (as a Cobol programmer in 1968 ie before the "aging programmer" was born!). Later I had my own systems consultancy, "retiring" some years ago. Never could leave the computer far behind and used Excel quite a bit but thought there should be a better way for some of these jobs. About 2 years ago, I started to learn Python, totally from the net and have written at least 150 scripts since then. At age 76, I have a new love (Python) and enjoy discovering new methods almost daily! THAT is an aging programmer! But it is keeping me young, I think...
