Parts of Europe (including DE) and many parts of Asia / Japan still have a strong master/apprentice culture.

I'm subscribed to your channels and it's pretty much the only thing I watch on YT (besides some other channels you recommended like Jeremy Fielding).

Is there any tool / machinery design in your head that you've been unable to execute yet due to time / space / $$$ constraints?

+1 for your thoughts on patents.

Mostly time constraint. Have been thinking about building a gear cutting machine using a table saw or angle grinder as the cutter. Sort of a single purpose CNC machine.

Hi Peter, thanks for your time. I have applied for a GC through marriage. I am currently on a H1B via my employer. I have already received my EAD but waiting on the GC interview which might take a while given the current state of affairs.

1) Can I change employers using an EAD? 2) My EAD expires in a year. Are EAD renewals generally painless?

Yes to both.

There's a decent amount of research that indicates that indoor air quality doesn't significantly improve with indoor plants. https://time.com/5105027/indoor-plants-air-quality/

Yep, I was at the popup theatre event where the teacher showed up and upgraded his grade!

Google hired away Oracle's President, not VP.

I had this happen to my Dell XPS 15 about 2 years back. It was a year old at the time so still under warranty. Dell said it was a hardware failure and I had to return it. IT issued me a new Precision 5520 that has worked really well since.

Why should they be public?

So wallstreetbets can yolo on it, of course

I have a lot of respect for the table saw when I do my hobby woodworking. Stupid me didn't think a jointer was that dangerous; I tried to joint a small (2"x3"x2") piece of mesquite using just my hands. The piece flew off and my finger dropped into the spinning blades. Luckily, while it did slice off the tip of the finger, it hopefully won't be permanent damage. It did make me realize though how dangerous things really are.

It is significant because shifting the money entails the eventual shifting of the revenue associated with the money. A large portion of revenue for capital is through traditional means such as interest rate arbitrage (difference between lending and borrowing rates) and services. It's only a matter of time before the services start moving to the continent.
