If you are a developer or related to IT area, in Costa Rica though is a third-world country life is descent (I'm Venezuelan living in CR), look for opportunities in LinkedIn (where most of the job market here is), there are companies that sponsor work visa and your family can come too (mine is here). Also (not necessarily related to your question) Costa Rica announced they started working on a law to have "digital nomads" work here for a "long" period of time

3. I bought a small speaker (kid-proof?) that I use to put playlists for kids, with time he started singing the songs and that was just a way to spend time for him
4. I put ideas in his head like "wow, this is Spiderman" (while showing it from my phone) then I bought a Spiderman toy and now is one of his favorites toys
5. Pla-doh, just make sure he understand is not something to eat or to mix it with other objects

7. Audiobooks or podcasts for kids

regarding screen time, from the source you provide:
"We don't know if it's being caused by the screen time," said Dowling. "We don't know yet if it's a bad thing. It won't be until we follow them over time that we will see if there are outcomes that are associated with the differences that we're seeing in this single snapshot."
