They said 'maybe'. I'm gonna say they are right, because there is no need for 99%+ of npm modules (and indeed, by far most are not used by anyone except the org author). Especially with AI, most npms are trivially generated faster than you can find and install them and usually less influenced/opinionated by the usually terrible star vying programmer that uploaded it in the first place. If AI trivially generates your npm (so you can make 4 per week next to whatever you were doing), why would I need it instead of having AI trivially generating a specific (without the features I don't need) version for what I am doing at the moment?
Right, but, you don't always works alone, or you need to maintain choices of other dev. Really, in js echo system there are always a huge cascading update when you update one component.
Recently purchased a PineTime and have been very impressed. It's more comfortable than my Casio F-91W.
The battery life also seems significantly better than advertised. I unboxed and charged to 100% on 13th November, and now on 21st November it's sitting at 43%. I wake the display up maybe a dozen times per day to check the time, read notifications, or pick up a phone call.
Updating the firmware was a breeze, the thing just works. Only snag I've noticed is that the pedometer is too sensitive, with no obvious way to adjust sensitivity.
I haven't risked showering with it yet, but it's supposed to be waterproof up to 1 meter. I suppose this implies it wouldn't survive a swimming session though.
I own one, mine's really waterproof, I almost always forget to take it of when doing the dishes or bathing the baby. Agree, it's great, I only wish it had some kind of transflective lcd screen ( like the garmin's ) : better battery life and always readable screen...
Another one, I built one of the originals a while back and have been procrastinating on actually getting the PCBs I designed for the GPS version manufactured:
Can I strong second a good pair of noise cancelling headphones. I used the Sony WH 1000 XM3 and now use the the Sony wf 1000xm4 since the latter is in-ear and easier to carry around. The noise cancellation is phenomenal. Pair this with a mindfulness playlist from a variety of composers and your senses will be detached from distractions around you.
