1) LinkedIn is not at all a different bucket then FAANG but it allows advertisers to put together and target a filtered and relevant audience for such offerings (people tend to lie less on LinkedIn profiles so the jobs titles/experience /industry are quite accurate plus nowadays LinkedIn is quite a lot like FB, people spend more time browsing that feed - even when they are not looking to change jobs).

2) Tech forums / communities are generally less judging against talking about your own offering, especially when relevant for the discussions happening there naturally.

3) yes, paid blog posts and advertorials as well as paid insertions (short articles, banners) in relevant newsletter are still a thing but you must really find matching partners that address the audience you are looking to hit with your tech.

Good luck!

thanks for sharing your thoughts. I agree that reinvention is primarily for one-self and seeing "it" happen or feeling that it was achieved, starts with the personal acknowledgment: I am a new ME.

Health.

Switching to another more familiar language can happen without intentionally looking to "talk secrets" or keep other people out.

Letting them know that you are uncomfortable when they constantly speak a language you don't understand and/or sharing the concern of missing out on project related talks or simply learning opportunities that might be sprinkled on all that yadda yadda in the office - is a good way to approach this. Nobody can know what and how you really feel unless you tell them.

In my experience one could actually very well do without hearing all that constant office chatter, actually many people would wear headphones cause they want to avoid hearing it and/or being distracted by it.

Also, if you believe they might be speaking about you - that is most probably not true, it is how we are wired to believe but most people will have their own things to worry and talk about.

Mostly stopped reading most news - this describes where I am now.

Some techcrunch titles still catch my eye and I read through as they are relevant for my work (digital marketing & tech entrepreneur). It is not hard not to read the news, it is hard to avoid being bombarded by bombastic news titles all the time but after a while of practice, an initial reaction (haha, WOT?!, OMG) is all they get out of me.

Reconciling those BIG dreams with a not so big budget. Open sharing and Q&A session for solopreneurs, small business owners and advertising specialists. Challenges, best practices, tips or doubts - they are all welcome to the discussion. See you there!
