I believe many countries intelligence agencies have the ability to weaken/break anonymity of tor and VPN's.
The question is, is the music industry able to leverage that? Would any government, either for strategic advantage, or because some low level employee was 'overly helpful', hand over that info?
It makes me physically angry that the gov't has the nerve to even suggest that they can remove Assange. These kangaroo circuits need to be vanquished. The world has been shown that the law ONLY applies to the common man, so why should I even hold a notion that a court could possibly be legitimate?
You may not want to hear it, but it involves manning the hell up and just whip it out. Your political views. You cannot hide them forever. In real life I have no problem letting people know exactly how I feel. And if you don't know how I feel about something feel free to ask.
You bring up a point of interest to me about the potential for malicious code that would bruteforce private networks to use as a covert channel. In regards to IoT devices, is there any documented cases of this happening in the wild? I could possibly see actors inserting malicious code baked in that would search for public wifi networks in things like a smart TV.
Not sure if the article mentions it (haven't read it yet) but JTF-ARES was the force tasked with sabotage and often it was against targets such as the militants video (propaganda) productions.
Edit: Really not sure why I got downvoted, as I provided accurate info?
Can't speak for anyone else but I didn't understand the purpose of your comment; it merely restates one fact from the article, which you didn't bother to read before commenting.
If they are behind a foreign VPN, you cannot unmask them.
