When I see things like this, it reminds that the saying life imitates art is surprisingly true. This is basically the premise of the movie Transcendence to a certain extent. Very interesting and very cool but begs the question just because we can, does it mean we should?
That being said, ever since I found out about Colossal Bioscience and their de-extinction projects, I have been tuned into their progress with great interest because it is the real life Jurassic Park.
This will be huge. Companies like Hims and Ro charge thousands of dollars a month with drugs that don't have the patents expire. I'm hopeful this will expand the ability to receive treatment and also allow trials to be tested at greater length to understand long-term effects.
This is definitely appearing in the AI tool space and industry as a whole. I feel like companies are pushing AI tools into the workplace because they are worried that a competitor is going to do something that revolutionizes productivity and credit is going to be given to the AI tool as the factor.
There's a tough timing call that comes into play with this because there is no ability to predict, only to look in hindsight, it's more of a hedge to be in and say I bought a lottery ticket and had a chance during the AI boom than it is to not engage.
I believe the saying is "you never win if you never play."
I work for a utility company and this is brilliant. One other issue that comes into play for inspections is right of way. My understanding of this is a bit fuzzy but is very interesting. Back in the day, if a power company had a transmission line on the property, they could just go out and service it. With modern infrastructure frequently being on top of one another, power lines, internet cables, pipes, this becomes a more complicated issue and so property management and the ability to access sites becomes a question. Drones can frequently go where people can't so in thick vegetation I can see this really working for surveying. Very cool.
I use a Theragun, specifically that because I've used some cheap ones in the past and they just broke or the batteries wore out. I don't put it directly on my neck. I use it on my trapezius and that seems to release a lot of the tension.
I've also used one of those electrical stimulators in the same area, not directly on the neck and if you have the option to expand the width of the pulse, that radiates out nicely.
