Everyone having a common understanding of the state of the world is important and not always efficient, or even possible, to do it async. Ideally, everyone would have good response times on messages and emails, always write clearly, but this is the real world, and you can't guarantee that. Often, tickets bounce back and forth between people for weeks when a quick meeting will answer things quickly. Sometimes this is best to happen in Status meetings IMO.

Name a better use for AI than this website? It is impossible. At least according to my AI Idea Gauge - https://anycrap.shop/product/ai-idea-gauge

The cherry on top of that is the out of order numbers on the "gauge" in the photo.

I didn't even notice! That is amazing.

And if you find it inaccurate, just order the upgrade:

I’ll bet my cat could do better than that!

Not such a good idea as you thought. Measurable only with a Head-mounted Vernier Gauge Idea Micrometer.

I also thought the screwups, although minor, were interesting. Like when it thought his face was a desk because it did not update the image it was "viewing". It is still not perfect, which made the whole thing more believable.

> Like when it thought his face was a desk because it did not update the image it was "viewing".

That's a rather uncharitable way of describing the situation. It didn't say anything like "your face looks like a wooden plank, it's very brown". It clearly understood that the image it was seeing was not matching the verbal request.

I was shocked at how quickly and naturally they were able to correct the situation.

It worked for me and I think this is actually really informative.

However, vertical scroll, please

Used like this, it is not much different than a try-catch block

Yeah and it's make sense to use it this way since there is no try-catch in C.

Reminds me of BASIC best practices:

    ON ERROR GOTO handler
    [try code here]
    GOTO finally

    handler:
    [catch code here]

    finally:
    [finally code here]

Some of these questions are similar to those questions you would see in an identify verification challenges. What is your first car, pet name, city you were born in. I am not saying this is the "only" answer, but could be one of them.

The article directly addresses this point and claims that the password is worthless, while somehow also claiming that the data they can scrape about you after you interact with them is where the money is made.

She grabbed one brain of someone called "Abby." I think their full name was actually "Abby Normal"

I can see this information playing into some troubling right-wing tropes about masculinity. Basically, if you are an Alpha (High T) you won't get sick, but if you are a weak Beta (Low T) you will. Therefore, if you get sick from Covid and you are a man, you are weak and somehow deserve it.

I hope this does not play out like this and everyone is rational and compassionate, but I doubt it.

Alpha vs Beta (as far as that concept is useful) is a question of behavior, attitude, and being able to love yourself; not T levels. Your comment betrays that you have a very shallow understanding of these topics. I encourage you to do some reading on this from first sources to get an understanding of the topic.

I am not saying that I believe or agree with any of this just that I can see this valid research being twisted to fit a very toxic narrative that already exists.

In the spirit of good faith, I think the comment was explaining the (incorrect) tropes, not supporting these ideas as fact.

Exactly

People who write Go are Gophers. People who write in Rust are Rustaceans. People who write in Beef are Beefeaters? Carnivores?

Asking the tough questions here.

Beefcakes?

I like this one the most.

Beefalos?

Keeping with the animal theme here

Bovines?

Meatheads? Beefy Boys?

Beef Jerkies.

Beefitarians

Cowgirls and cowboys! Yeehaw!

People?

Beefheads

This is both a hilarious and awesome idea. Too bad that 2 people in my family wake up early and two are better at staying up. On second thought, I bet we could become a bi-coastal family.
