This anecdotal, but I feel like YouTube applies a positive sentiment filter to its all of its comments. Somehow on most videos I watch never see anything critical at the top of the comment section.

For macOS you all should look into integrating with the Endpoint Security API. It also provides larger subset of events than just syscalls. You can see them all with `eslogger --list-events`.

Recently a regular ferry that goes between the island and the ferry building was established. It’s a very pleasant ride and they allow you to take your bike on it.

Sure, but that doesn't really change the dynamic of having to rely on public transit or private vehicles. In addition ferries are among the most expensive modes of transit with an outsized environmental impact. Against the backdrop of the city trying to move TI from Section 8 housing to luxury condos that's even worse, IMO. Either they're going to price it out of reach of the poors or they're going to force everyone to subsidize luxury transit for the richie riches.

100% there needs to be a pedestrian+bike path to San Francisco from the island.

100%. It can double up as maintenance route which is a plus. And this would make such a nice commute option for many in Oakland/Berkeley who now just WFH on principle.

I have one medical. Basically the value proposition for me is that its easier interface to the whole medical system. Finding a primary care physicians can be done in like 5 minutes. Stuff like scheduling appointments, virtual visits, vaccines, tests and what not through the app is super easy. IDK if it will get mainstream adoption but to me it takes the edge off seeking medical care. Also their clinics are nice and in convenient places.

"intellectual yet idiot" a term from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skin_in_the_Game_(book)

Amazon bought one medical earlier this year for 3.9 billion. I wonder if this is the result of that purchase.

They've agreed to the acquisition, but the deal hasn't closed.

I was just going to ask this. I use One in ATX. Pay out of pocket because my corporate healthcare has crap choices of doctors.

I feel like the most Bay Area bread is Dutch Crunch. So ubiquitous here and very delicious.

This is one of my most missed foods after moving away from the Bay Area.

Going to the Safeway deli and getting a Dutch crunch sandwich...I'm hungry now.

In the UK we have "Tiger Bread", which is my favourite type of bread. I wonder how that differs to Dutch Crunch.

It's the same thing. We call it Dutch Crunch because it came from the Netherlands.

Oddly the rest of the US has sourdough but none of them have ever heard of Dutch Crunch. Which is just as well because it really cuts up your mouth.

Do you know what they call it in the Netherlands? My wife is Dutch and we've been to the Netherlands a bunch of times and I'm trying to picture what it is you're eating. Most of the bread we ate there, or that my wife's family eats is a pretty unassuming white bread (a grocery store italian loaf wouldn't be a bad comparison) just buttered, usually with a slice of gouda or ham.

I think it's the same

It's a great way to exfoliate the roof of your mouth.

Dutch Crunch is also popular in the Seattle area.

Totally that's why Apple made endpoint security for security vendors. You can even pipe the events from the kernel with "sudo eslogger exec | jq" on the new macOS

Seems like an effective way to extract the fat and get use out of whole fish. Similar to any soup. I do wish FDA regulated some supplements but I think reputable brands are doing the good for the most part.
