Love it. Now give me a columnar layout.

I also wonder how much he has personally changed over the past few years and whether that’s affected his vision for it: like it started as a deeply held conviction but simply drifted with his celebrity and more temporal concerns? I mean, even if he went off the deepend tomorrow and went full toxic internet guy (instead of partial), those core companies he’s created are seemingly a net good human process wise.

What are some of the alternatives you’d recommend?

Bigcommerce

primarily volusion.com, but it is a big space and often one or two key features make an offering work for a particular enterprise

I love the idea of these, but why one device vs usb-c mechanical keyboard + tablet. That combo of Plank keyboard + iPad Pro has proven absolutely killer for me as a portable and highly flexible work studio (design, write, Jupyter, and ssh-Ing).

Consider sharing your setup to https://www.reddit.com/r/ergomobilecomputers/ , I've been doing similar with a Linux Tablet PC and a detached keyboard as my only machine after my MacBook died a year ago.

Tobii is pretty intense about this stuff, esp re licensing. Their gaming stuff can’t be used for research, for example. It’s a similar vibe to eInk.

Tobii can say whatever it wants. The license you accept only applies to their software, not to their hardware. You own that. You can use their gaming devices to do research all you want, as long as you use your own software with them.

Proof please?!

“The license you accept only applies to their software, not to their hardware.”

As far as I know, their EULA has three groups: gamers, commercial, research. You can buy a 3000€ research license that simply allows you to collect the eye tracking data on the basic 250€ devices…

Tobii can sue whoever they want, too. You sure you can afford better representation than theirs? If they're as assertive about their license terms as it sounds like they are, I'd think hard about it first, I suppose.

How do you do that with a device with locked bootloader/firmware? Is alternative firmware even available? I don't think so...

Fox 2 Do you consent to us using your HUD telemetry for post mission analysis? The f… FOX 2 Do you consent to us using your HUD telemetry for post mission analysis?

HOW DO I SAY YES?!

BBC doesn't do adverts.

They do serve ads to users outside the UK. I opened the article in a fresh instance of Chromium and counted 13 ads in the article - some very intrusive and others mixed in with the related articles (although with an "ADVERTISEMENT" label).

I’m afraid they do. Never been outside the UK and tried to access the BBC?

It doesn't do adverts inside the UK. Outside the UK they do. I always get a bit confused when I access it via the work VPN and see adverts!

I would kill for language options on this. Having been studying Arabic while living in Northern Europe, none of the streaming services have Arabic dubbed shows. The only thing I’ve found is the expanse, which itself is in a different dialect than what I’m studying. Being able to easily search by language availability and subtitle availability would be wonderful.

Not streaming but https://yts.mx/browse-movies/0/all/all/8/latest/0/foreign has pretty good catalogue

IMDB itself lets you filter by language: https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title_type=feature&releas... but it's PITA to then go and search for these films

Only works for Netflix but unogs.com let's you search by language and subtitle availability.

Thanks for the suggestion, planning to add more details about these kinds of things.

Brutal. I don’t want to think about how much I’ve spent through Wolt (CPH) during the pandemic, but from a customer experience standpoint, they have been very fair. Quick response, predictable outcomes, no hoops. Congrats to wolt, thanks to all the delivery and service workers, and I’ll delete it at the first change in CS standards.

Shameless share of my toilet based art installation. https://vimeo.com/75448871

Strong second on the atlas headrest. It feels like the missing piece for the aeron as a chair that can do everything — focused work, lounging back to read, etc. I bought my aeron right at the start of the pandemics (as well as a split keyboard, vertical mouse) and honestly, not sure I can go back. Some consistent wrist and forearm pains have completely gone away.
